Job responsibilities

Monitoring the operational activities (tug & barge, loading & discharging activities) throughout the project to ensure that the fleet activity are operated safely and efficiently.

• Monitoring all vessels movement to ensure the arrival time at the project destination accordance with the planned schedule.
• To ensure the readiness of tug and barge before do loading activity on Kelanis Port is adjusted to the applicable requirements so that the barge can be loaded smoothly.
• Ensure and monitor the implementation of the ISM Code on the vessel is operated in accordance with the terms and watched the safety and security factors.
• Check the vessels (barge & tug boat) properness every 6 months / after completion of docking, along with surveyors to ensure barges & vessels can operate well in support of the smoothness of company operation activity.
• Coordination with other party if there is a fleet change so the operational activities can running smoothly.
• Updating ship operational status based on daily & weekly operations as material for reporting to the management.
• Schedules arrangement & fleet designation preparation for each destination according to the schedule of each project so that coal delivery can be done on time.
• Providing direction & information to the vessel captain regarding traffic in the Barito River channel to prevent accidents between ships / barges.
• Conducted a survey of port conditions that will be new projects to obtain data & information on destination ports.
• Inspect the equipments for new buildings (ships) to ensure the specifications already appropriate with the contracts that have been agreed.
